Soothing Bots

Soothing Bots

A choir of kind little robot heads moves into your room and sings you story songs. Wake them, hush them and arrange them with your hands or controllers.

Coming soon toMeta Quest

For Meta Quest 2, Quest Pro, Quest 3 and Quest 3S. Mixed reality: play with your hands or Touch controllers.

A choir of friendly pastel robot heads with big cartoon eyes, in mint, aqua, peach, cream, ivory, powder blue and lilac, sings lines such as 'You and me in tune' and 'Doo wop, doo wah' over airplane seat backs, with little floating hands and pink hearts, as an outlined hand reaches in. A rose robot and a pale pink one doze.

Your own little choir

Gentle and calm, silly enough for grown-ups, and every song is a bit different.

Two rows of pastel robot heads float over the seat backs by a window, mint, coral, aqua, lilac, cream, ivory, powder blue and blue, each with its own lyric card, such as 'Breathe in, breathe out' and 'Relax and unwind', while an outlined hand pinches a sleepy cream robot.

A robot choir in your room

Up to 16 robot heads, each with its own face, voice and part, sit right there in your real room. Some hum the low notes, some sing the tune, and one or two can't resist a "doo wop".

Put them on the bookshelf, the sofa or the windowsill. They stay where you left them.

Close-up of smiling pastel robots singing: a pink bucket-shaped robot sings 'Relax and unwind', a lilac-pink six-sided one sings 'Mm, mm, mm' and a peach one sings 'Ooh, ooh, ooh', with an aqua robot beside them.

Story songs for the whole family

Every song is sung by the same sixteen robots, a family and their neighbourhood. Meet Teddy, almost four, who knows every dinosaur but can't do up his shoes yet; his big sister Ivy; Grandma Pearl, who can't say no; and Grandpa Lou, who runs the diner and says "That's extra."

Tap Random for a little story episode, like Free Refills, Just a Box or Murphy's Lucky Day. Everyone gets a hook to sing and plenty of silly bits, and a quiet moment in the bridge. Or type in your own words and the choir will sing them back to you.

The app is free to download. You get a free diamond about once a day, and one diamond makes one new random song; if you want more, extra diamonds are an optional purchase in the app.

An outlined hand pinches a sleepy pale pink robot awake, next to a pink robot singing 'Relax and unwind' and a peach robot singing 'Ooh, ooh, ooh', under a robot's settings panel.

Hands or controllers

No buttons to learn. Look at a robot and pinch, or pull the trigger, to wake it. Poke to hush it. Pick one up and carry it somewhere new.

With hand tracking, wave hello or give a thumbs up and the robots answer you back.

Share songs as QR codes

Made something lovely? Turn it into one QR code and show it to a friend. Their Quest 3 or 3S scans it and their choir sings your song. (Only a very heavily edited song needs a few codes.)

The code is drawn inside your headset, so to show it to a friend, cast your view to a phone (with the Meta Horizon app) and hold the phone up to their headset.

The code holds the song and nothing else. There's a text code too, for when a camera isn't handy; it works on any supported headset.

How it plays

Five minutes or an hour: it's up to you (and the robots).

  1. Meet the sleepy choir

Put on your headset. A row of robots is dozing in your room, waiting for you.

  2. Look and pinch

Look at a robot and pinch (or pull the trigger). It wakes with a yawn and joins the song.

  3. Arrange the music

Poke to hush a voice, wake another, change who sings the tune, and move everyone around.

  4. Pass it on

Happy with your song? Share it as a QR code so a friend's choir can sing it too.

No accounts, no ads and no tracking. Everything you make stays on your headset. Read the privacy policy.
